Monday 30th December at 10.30am This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

Breeze Bike Rides in East Riding of Yorkshire

This will be a flat leisurelyride from Barmy Moor to Allerthorpe via the industrial estate turning left to Bielby and on to Everingham. We will then ride on to Harswell for a coffee and cake stop before returning via Everingham to Hayton, Pocklington and back to Barmby .Pink is not compulsory by the way, but so many turn up in pink it seemed an apt name and it's bright.


Please do wear a bright jacket/high vis [even if not pink]


A helmet is advisable and a water bottle is always a good idea and wear a few thin layers under a water/windproof jacket as it will be cold.


We will always go at the pace of the slowest rider.


Newcomers welcome but please be aware it is 8  miles each way.

I have always been sporty and active but had to give up many sports I loved after having two knee replacments at a young age but then I got into cycling and now it is my passion.Fresh air,excercise and cycling in our beautiful countryside-what more could you ask for? I have been appointed as Breeze Regional Co-ordinator for East & North Yorkshire to try and get even more womenon on their bikes and to become Breeze Champions.. I hope you can get to love it as much as I do.
  • Deborah Nott Deborah Nott Primary School teacher. Have only been cycling for a year: talked into it by keen partner. Now ride to work some days and really love it. Joined a Breeze group myself quite recently and have made some lovely new friends and met some great people. Would love to see more women out on bikes
  • Justine Greenway Justine Greenway Hi, my name is Justine and I love to get out on my bike as often as I can. I'm not a madly competitive cyclist and prefer to ride with a group than on my own because I enjoy the social aspect of having a good chat with like-minded people who also enjoy getting out on their bikes.

    I am a member of the Driffield Cycling Club and newly qualified as a Breeze Champion in March 2013, purely so that I can share my love of cycling with other women wanting to do the same thing. What better way is there to enjoy good company, fantastic scenery and get a little fit into the bargain?
