Sky Ride Local in Birmingham

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.

This 30 mile ride has a bit of everything and will satisfy the more committed cyclist looking for a challenge. The ride starts and finishes at Cannon Hill Park, just off Edgbaston Road. Once out of the city, the leafy lanes and complete tree canopy make the miles go by effortlessly, you'll have to try not to stop to take in the beautiful scenery! Encountering wide roads, narrow roads, long straights, hairpin bends and sharp climbs with fun descents, this is a perfect Challenging route. Come on lets go!

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order and bring equipment with you to repair punctures, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.
All rides leave at the time stated you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

    I have always enjoyed playing and coaching sports throughout my younger years. I turned to cycling has my main sport when injury prevented me from taking part in other sports. I enjoy meeting new people and what better way to do than on a Sky ride and you get fitter too.

I recently joined the sky ride team, as I have a passion in riding and felt that this would give me a great opportunity to meet like-minded people who feel the same way about riding .
