Sky Ride Local in Wakefield

Join us on some amazing rides, created in association with our friends at the National Trust. Make the most of some beautiful countryside, and great facilities for cyclists.
If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
At just over 8 miles this route is perfect for anybody wanting to stretch their legs a bit on the bike whilst in the knowledge that you will be riding in a traffic free environment.  Starting from the stunning Nostell Priory we make use of the tracks to complete a circular route of the area incorporating a loop of Anglers Country Park.  Anybody who enjoys riding their bike in beautiful surroundings does not want to miss this ride!
If you need a bike for this ride, the Wakefield District Cycling Forum have a limited number of bikes available to borrow at Nostel Priory.  To pre book a bike, please email info@cycling-wakefield.org.uk
