Sky Ride Local in Kirklees

Come and join us for a brilliant easygoing ride starting at the pretty little Wilton Park in Birstall. The ride is suitable for the youngest of riders and is ideal for families; new and lapsed cyclists wanting to get their bike back out again and enjoy a few laps on the flat tarmac path along the disused railway line.  Once you have mastered the flat circuit on the Sky Ride Local why not head off and spend the rest of the day exploring the challenging steeper climbs through the woodland to Bagshaw Museum or just soak up the atmosphere inside Wilton Park.

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
