Tring Railway Station Station Road HP23 5QR
Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.

The Tring Ring loops through the pretty Chilterns countryside taking in the villages of Aldbury, Ivinghoe and Pitstone. There is a steady climb towards the historic Pitstone Windmill. The ride then heads to follow the Grand Union Canal, passing the Tring Reservoirs nature reserve.

Please note that a significant amount of this route uses towpaths that may not be suitable for road bikes.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Jeremy Wyman Jeremy Wyman
  • Ray Morgan Ray Morgan Hello,
My grandson and I regularly enjoy cycling together and recently I gained great satisfaction from enabling the Head of English at a large Upper School to discover, for the first time, that she could ride a bike.
I love opening up opportunities for people, especially the young, to visit their friends, relatives, the park, library, swimming pool and countryside, independently, at little or no cost.
By doing ‘Bikeability’, the new version of Cycling Proficiency, I see people grow in confidence and achieve much more than they thought they could.
I look forward to sharing some new, exciting rides and chatting with you on a Skyride soon.
  • Nick Rawling Nick Rawling Hi my name is Nick and I live in Slough.
In my youth I did Road Racing and held a 1st Category licence.
I have also been one of the few Brits privileged to have worked with Professional Cycle Racing teams on the Tour de France and the Giro d' Italia as well as some Six Day track events.
These days I only cycle for pleasure be it on the road or off road leaving the racing to viewing only on Eurosport.
I look forward to meeting you on up coming Sky Rides
