Sky Ride Local in Swindon

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
If you like rides straight out into the countryside with great veiws of Thames Valley with not to much effort, then this is the ride for you. The ride begins in the beautiful grounds of Coate Water Country Park where we set off south east through Badbury Wick and rural Badbury. From there we cycle east on a steady ascent on the Ridgeway towards Foxhill where at the summit we view over the scenic countryside and have a quick respite. Then the ride takes us downhill to the quaint settlement of Bishopstone viewing the picturesque thatched cottages. We loop back round on Hinton Hill then meander through Hinton Parva towards Wanborough then through Liddington where the topography is predominantly flat and steady. There are plenty of stopping points along the way for refreshment and replenishments before returning along Medbourne Way to Coate Water Country Park.
