Sky Ride Local in Torbay

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
Starting from the White Rock Beefeater Grill this is a picturesque route that leaves Paignton on quite roads and cycle paths as it makes its way to the banks of the River Dart at Stoke Gabriel.  We will slowly descend on our way down to Stoke Gabriel where will we have plenty of time for a break and refuel at the cafe where we can enjoy a coffee and guilt free cake overlooking the River and Mill Pond.
From here we will take it steady as we climb back out of Stoke Gabriel on our way back to the start and once we have negotiated the last hurdle through Yalberton you can start to think about how you are going to reward yourself at the end of the ride.
At just over 7 miles this ride is not overly challenging in length, but some people may find the climbs a bit testing.  It is perfect way to push yourself with a group of fellow cyclists, just make sure your gears are working well.

Rider Comments on the Route

  1. Cilla Wilson Sunday 6th October
A fairly short ride in beautiful country a few hills but nothing awful. A fantastic ride on a very sunny & warm October day. The sky leaders were very organised & looked after the whole group.
