Sky Ride Local in Glasgow

Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.
This fantastic three and a half mile ride is contained within Glasgow's Pollok Country Park.  With great cycling surfaces and plenty of attractions, this a lovely ride for the whole family.  Highlights of the ride include the Maxwell Family Pollok House owned by the family since the mid-13th Century.  The beautifully kept gardens contain an impressive collection of over 1,000 species of rhododendrons and the White Cart River, spanned by a bridge built in 1757.  History and nature make this a fun, easy ride. See you there!

Rider Comments on the Route

  1. Lesley Struthers Sunday 21st July
  2. gerry mcwilliams Thursday 18th August
Good enjoyable day in the park.
  3. Peter O'Neill Saturday 25th June
Good ride well organised , pity about the weather
  4. Bill McLaren Tuesday 21st June
The ride leader (Alan Walker) managed to put more of a dampener on this ride that the weather could possibly have managed. His attitude and manner was appalling at the start of the ride and quite why, at the end, he was making so much of people holding them up on a previous Ride Strong (this was a ride easy) I have yet to determine. Such a contrast to the enjoyable time I'd had earlier in the day on a ride with different leaders.
