Come and join us for some leisurely laps of the Traffic Free Cycle Circuit at Torbay Leisure Centre in Paignton.
There is no better place to come and get a traffic-free ride on a purpose-built cycle circuit, so this is the perfect opportunity to dust off that old bike or get out on your new pride and joy and build up some cycling confidence in a safe environment surrounded by like-minded cyclists and our supportive Ride Leaders.
Here you will be able to practice riding in a small group out of the way of traffic so that you can improve your skills before joining us on one of our other exciting Sky Ride Local Rides
Not cycled for a while and looking for an easy way to get back in the saddle? Fancy a fun way to get your friends or kids riding? Our Easygoing rides are great for building confidence for all abilities and ages along relaxed, mostly traffic-free routes. They’re up to six miles long, with a gentle pace of around six miles an hour.

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
All ages are welcome. Those under the age of 5 must be in a BSA approved child seat, trailer or tag-a-long.

Please make sure your bike is in good working order, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.

All rides leave at the time stated, you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

  This is my second year leading Sky Rides, last year was fantastic fun, I had a chance to lead some great rides, I really enjoyed meeting new riders and watching their confidence grow over the weeks. I am looking forward to meeting some new faces and welcoming back riders from 2013.

  I'm a mum of 3 and grandma of 2 who works as a Cycling Officer for Torbay Council, teaching Bikeability
  
  I love riding my bike and teaching kids to be confident on theirs. I'm also a passionate believer that more people would love cycling if they had a little more confidence.
  
  I especially would love to see more women out on their bikes. It's great to cycle in a group of women having a good natter and a nice tea stop with coffee and cake.

   The crew were wonderful as always but I found riding around the track rather boring after a few laps. I'm glad at last I was able to ride on the track but won't be doing so again I fear.
