Sky Ride Local in Rotherham

If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
Join us on this fantastic 11 mile ride setting out from the beautiful Ulley Country Park.  This ride takes us along the quiet back lanes from Ulley Country Park to Laughton en le Morthen passing through the villages of Ulley, Brampton, Thurcroft, Laughton and Morthen.  Along the way we will be able to take in the amazing modern views of the Penny Hill wind farm and by contrast the 12th Century Laughton Parish Church.
This ride is perfect for anybody who is confident about riding on the roads and wanting to stretch the legs a little over a distance of 11 miles.  Don't worry though there are plenty of places for us to stop have a breather and drink!
 

Additional Information

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
Please bring equipment with you to repair punctures, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.
All rides leave at the time stated you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

I got a bike through the cycle to work scheme and after riding it the two mile home I was worn out! Now after a few years of commuting (two miles each way) and rides at the weekend I don't even notice the two mile ride.

    I've re-discovered how much fun it is to ride a bike, come along on a Sky Ride and rediscover that fun for yourself.
