Sky Ride Local in Wandsworth

Starting from Wandsworth Common train station, this 13 mile route follows roads towards Clapham Junction. After reaching the lovely Clapham Common, we'll take in the views as we head towards Wandsworth Common. There’ll be a chance to chat to fellow riders. With some hill climbs this route is ideal for anyone wanting to stretch their legs and get out of town.

In addition to this great ride the Wandsworth Safer Transport Team will be at the start point an hour before the ride starts to provide FREE cycle security marking and advice to all participants.  Security marking your bike deters potential thieves as your bike can be easily traced if it is stolen.   Please ensure that you turn up in good time to have your bike marked as the free marking will finish 20 minutes before the ride is advertised to start.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Carol McLoughlin
  • Stefan Herold I am a very confident and experienced cyclist. I am very jolly and great for a laugh. I am a very patient person and can handle stress pretty well.

I am sure we will all have a great time together!
  • Robert Howard Hi i am a keen cyclist who cycles almost everyday the highlight is the cycle home from work up to the top of Hampstead Heath i think it is the highest point in north London and its great to complete everyday.

Normally stuck behind a desk all day so this is a great way to commute & exercise all in one,

my reason for being a skyride leader is to meet & encourage other cyclists and to be part of the cycle evolution.

My tip to newbie cyclists is to start small and build up slowly, plan your routes and enjoy the experience.
