British Cycling can help you find a club that’s right for you. Check out the club finder to find a club near you. There are some great cycling clubs in Redbridge who will be happy for you to come along and ride with them, including:
RCC has been based in this area since 1972, and welcomes new members. Now based at, and working in partnership with, Redbridge Cycling Centre at Hog Hill in Hainault. HCC’s ocial club rides are held every Sunday, leaving from Redbridge Cycling Centre at 9.30am. Non-members are welcome but those with limited experience of group riding should arrive at 9.00am for a practice lap at the cycling centre to establish level of ability and for safety instruction.
Facilities
There are four dedicated cycling circuits in Redbridge, so whatever kind of cycling you like to do, you can do it in safety, with support and with like-minded riders.
Redbridge Cycling Centre is a traffic-free facility for cyclists of all abilities, from families to competitive riders, which has purpose-built surfaced and off-road tracks. A large stock of hire bikes is available, including mountain bikes, road bikes, BMXs, children’s bikes, trailer bikes, bikes with child seats as well as a number of adapted bikesfor disabled users.
The Centre also runs the Cycle Vision scheme and has qualified British Cycling coaches offering school holiday courses, coaching for schools and adults.
There are also three further cycle circuits in the area:
Loxford Park Cycle Circuit The circuit is a bike obstacle course which normally consists of the following types of obstacles:- weaving posts, limbo beams, a seesaw, bridge ride, big dipper, zig-zag, criss cross ride, take-off ramp, rumble strip. It is the perfect place for riders to practice their bike skills in an off road environent. The circuit is situated in the old sunken garden in the middle of the park, most easily accessible from Loxford Lane.
Goodmayes Park the track is adjacent to the children's play area, the nearest entrances being Holden Close or the junction of Stevens Road and Dunkeld Road.
Forest Road Playing Fields circuit is situated next to the Skate Park on the corner of Elmbridge Road and Forest Road.

Recycles – bike recycling project
Recycles is a bike recycling project to help homeless people gain work experience and job skills. The Salvation Army is running the project with funding and support from the London Borough of Redbridge. Recycles will see people who have experienced homelessness work to recycle bikes that have been thrown away. The project launched in February 2013 and is based at the Salvation Army building on Clements Road, Ilford. Guests from their night shelter volunteer under the supervision of a bike mechanic and learn valuable skills that could hopefully help them to find employment. Find out more about future sale dates.
Training
Free Adult Cycle Training
If you live, work or study in the London Borough of Redbridge and are over the age of 16 you are entitled to a FREE two hour one-to-one cycle training session. It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner who doesn’t know how to ride or an experienced commuter cyclist the trainer will tailor the session to suit you and your training needs.
The trainer will arrange to meet you in an convenient off road location to yourself (usually a local park) at a time that suits you.
If you would like to learn how to ride a bike, haven’t ridden for a while or would like to become a safer cyclist, please contact the borough’s cycle training provider Cycle Experience on 0845 434 8451 or email redbridgetraining@cycleexperience.com. If you don’t own a bike you can even borrow one for free.
Cycle Vision is Redbridge Cycling Centre’s programme to deliver coaching to all riders and abilities and includes Learn to Ride, British Cycling Go-Ride, holiday programmes, and adapted bike usage for disabled groups schemes.

Hainault cycle route is a mainly off-road cycle route that runs from Fairlop Waters in the North East of the borough through Barkingside, Woodford Bridge, Woodford Green and on towards Whips Cross. Download a map here.
Roding Valley Way (RVW) is a mainly off-road cycle route that runs alongside the river Roding. The RVW runs north south through the borough in from Loughton in the North East of the borough through Woodford Bridge, Clayhall, Redbridge, Ilford and on towards Stratford in the south east of the borough. The Seven Kings cycle route is a mainly off-road cycle route that runs north to south through the east of the borough. Seven Kings originates in Hainault and continues all the way to Goodmayes via Chadwell Heath and Seven Kings. Find out more.
The Redbridge Greenway is a mainly off-road cycle route that runs north west to south east through the middle of the borough. The Greenway originates in Hainault Forest in Hainault and heads south east via Fairlop Waters, Barkingside, Newbury Park, Valentines Parkand continues all the way to Wanstead Flats. Find out more.
