Chester, Northwich and Ellesmere Port are great places to cycle, and now there are even more opportunities to get out and about on your bike in the area.
This year the area is hosting a series of Sky Ride Locals – organised rides supported by British Cycling Ride Leaders. Keep an eye out for Social Cycling Groups, and Breeze bike rides for women too!

Facilities

A number of bike lockers have been installed by Cycle Chester at the Wrexham Road Park and Ride site and on Princess Street in Chester City Centre. The lockers provide a safe and secure place for cyclists to leave their bikes when commuting in to the city centre.
Live!
Live! is a small charity based at New Scene Youth Centre in Chester. Established in 1993, Live! enables disabled and non disabled children and young people aged 10-25 years to become active and valued citizens. Achieved through challenging and creating opportunities for inclusion by providing a varied programme of club and social activities across Chester and Cheshire West.
‘Give it a Spin’ cycle project is based at New Scene Youth Centre in Chester. Running every Monday 10am - 3pm, they have a wide range of bikes to suit all abilities and ages. A community café is also available for a well earned drink or snack. Its lots of fun, so why not…Give it a Spin!

There are loads of ways to get on your bike in Chester, whether it be at an event, with a club or on your own.

Get active this summer, join in the Cheshire West and Chester Celebration of Sport 2013. One year on from a memorable summer of Olympic and Paralympic sport, Cheshire West and Chester Council invite residents to participate in a series of local sporting events taking place throughout the borough. Presented by Sport Cheshire under the ‘celebration of sport’ brand, a wide range of activities from egg and spoon races to rugby,
will be available for residents to enjoy.
