Champion of the Month – Liane Higham

This month, our Champion of the Month is Liane Higham from Breeze Network Northampton.
Liane has single -handedly set up Breeze network Northampton and has achieved great promotional success in the Northamptonshire area for Breeze.
Liane trained as a champion in Leicester in June and since July, she has organised 17 Breeze bike rides throughout the summer. Liane’s enthusiasm is infectious and she has built a strong relationship with her County Sports Partnership, Northamptonshire Sport. They are supporting the network in Northampton through press releases and providing 1000 flyers and posters for Liane to promote her rides. Local magazines are also supporting the network with local articles and adverts. Building partnerships with other cycling organisations like Sustrans has helped to promote the rides.
Liane has the ambition to be a cycle training instructor and is booked on a course in November and will be able to provide cycle skills and confidence to her Breeze participants, enhancing the experiences for the riders.
