Where will your bike take you?

Sky Ride city events are a nationwide series of summer events to encourage people to get back on their bikes. In 2010, over 200,000 people took part in free-mass participation rides all over the UK.

Sky Ride Local rides are fun, friendly and free community bike rides that help you get out and explore your local area. They’re led by a British Cycling trained ride leader who can provide support and give you a few tips, whatever your age or ability.

The Breeze network from British Cycling is all about fun, local bike rides for women, by women – and there's a whole range of support, training and ride opportunities too. The network's informal and relaxed. It’s what you want it to be.

Get the skills, grow in confidence and keep cycling! Whether you’re just starting out on a bike, thinking about cycling more, or simply nuts about bikes – there’s a British Cycling Bike Maintenance Workshop for you.

Bicycle breakfast

British Cycling are bringing a special bike breakfast to commuters in Preston in September in a bid to encourage more people to cyle to work more often.

Organised in partnership with the START campaign, a national initiative to promote and celebrate sustainable living, we'll be highlighting the benefits of cycling and encouraging more people to ride to work. There will be a special breakfast event between 8.00am and 10.00am in at Preston's Winckley Square Gardens on Wednesday 21st September.

So if you're in town that day, why not stop by on your bike, have a chat with other cyclists, and grab a coffee or something to eat. Local police will be on hand to postcode stamp bikes and advise on security, and Kelloggs are kindly supporting the event.
