Off-Road - Ride Well

Sky Ride Local in Southampton

Get out and explore the countryside with the brand new rural off-road routes from Sky Ride Local.  Off-road Ride Well is mostly traffic free rural bike riding for the family and novice cyclist.  There is barely a metre of tarmac in sight on these rides so come and enjoy the scrunch of gravel and the squelch of mud under your tyres with us!

Join us on this wonderful heathland adventure of just over 11 miles.  We wend our way through the historic forest enclosures dating back to the days of King William II.  Our destination is the King's garden, a lovely scenic spot to have a breather and a well-earned snack before we continue on our travels through the New Forest back to Acres Down House.

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Graeme Morse Graeme Morse I am married to Andrea, we live on the edge of the New Forest. We both cycle. I am teacher and part time Mountain Bike guide/instructor. I have been cycling since a child and so far haven't got bored! I really enjoying sharing my passion for cycling with others. It is great to introduce new people to the sport at any level! Go Ride!
  • Anthony Owen Hi, my name is Tony I am lucky to live in between the boundaries of the magnificent New Forest and Bournemouth with its beuatiful coastline so I have some big varied playgrounds on my doorstep! I ride both mountain and road bikes depending on the mood and am as equally happy on either. My ethos is that everyone on a ride, no matter what their experience or ability has the opportunity to fully enagage in whatever event they choose to do. Navigating these areas is a brilliant and relaxed way to start, or indeed progress your cycling journey. Looking forward to seeing you on the next Sky Ride!
