Breeze Bike Rides in North Warwickshire

Want to go that bit further, come along and enjoy a fairly challenging 30 mile ride along the rolling country lanes. We will be heading out of Polesworth riding through a number of beautiful villages and open country side through North Warwickshire, skirting Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. Glorious month of March will deliver you an array of flora and fauna throughout the counties which are naturally indigenous to the area.

Towards the half-way point there is a stop off at the Beehive café which is known for its cooked breakfast (bring some change). 

This ride is suited for a road or hybrid bike as there is a few inclines and suited for the more experienced rider. Please bring a helmet, inner tube and puncture repair kit just in case. The ride roughly takes 180mins cycling time and about 20-30mins break at the beehive but please allow more time just in case the pace is slower than anticipated or we have a puncture.

Meet the Champions

• Stephanie Walker Hi my name is steph and I am 37 years of age and work full time as a renal haemodialysis nurse. My family is growing up fast and have found that I am becoming redundant as a mother (unless I am spending money on the kids). With this spare time what a great opportunity to share my passion of cycling with others, I have completed the breeze training and a cycle instructor offering Bike Ability courses in my local area. I have been riding socially for the last couple of years with family and friends and love to get out on the quiet country lanes. I look forward to meeting you and spread the word about the breeze network to family and friends!
• Lorraine Doran Hi my name is Lorraine. I have cycled for many years and really enjoy both the fitness side of cycling and the social side. I am a senior road safety officer for Solihull Council and I am very lucky that part of my remit is to deliver bikeability to adults and students who live and work in Solihull. I am an accredited train the trainer and have also successfully completed Level One of MIAS (mountain bike instructor course). I have been a Breeze champion for British Cycling for twelve months and have met lots of lovely people. So come along to a ride and I look forward to meeting you to.
• Elaine Slatter Hi my name is Elaine and I am a Sky and Breeze ride leader. I have always been quite a sporty, outdoors type but my passion has changed from the gym and walking to cycling in the last year.
  I signed up to the cycle to work scheme last February and started commuting to work. I soon started to feel all the benefits of a daily dose of exercise and fresh air and found a local women only cycle club who I could ride with a few times a week. After nine months of cycling I’m proud to say I managed my first 100 miler.
  Now i’m happy to encourage other people and I think both Sky and Breeze are fantastic incentives to get people out cycling, whatever your level.
