Off-Road - Ride Well

Sky Ride Local in Birmingham

Get out and explore the countryside with the brand new rural off-road routes from Sky Ride Local.  Off-road Ride Well is mostly traffic free rural bike riding for the family and novice cyclist.  There is barely a metre of tarmac in sight on these rides so come and enjoy the scrunch of gravel and the squelch of mud under your tyres with us!

Come join us on Sky Ride Local Off-road route in Wolverhampton.  This amazing 12 mile ride will have you thinking you are nowhere near the city!  On this off-road route we use canals and disused railway lines to complete the loop with a chance to see Bratch Locks and the wonderful Wombourne Pump House.  If getting out with your family by bike away from traffic is what you're looking for then this really is the ride for you!

Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Robert Maskell Hello my name is Rob.
I have been cycling since my teens.
My main interest is cycle touring, I was a member of West Bromwich CTC for a number of years.
I really enjoyed the Sunday morning club runs and the weekends away youth hosteling.
Now my cycling consists of day rides to local beauty spots covering around 40 miles, and cycling off road exploring the tracks and trails of the Wyre Forest and Cannock Chase, and of course leading Sky rides.
I like to do all of the maintenance and repairs to my bikes myself.
I currently have two bikes, a GT that I use for off road and a Ridgeback that I use for road work.
Well I hope to see you out on a local Sky ride soon
  • Tim Bailey
