If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
This short but hilly route will take us past some of Torquay's well known tourist attractions whilst also taking in the stunning sea views. Starting out at the Living Coasts centre in Torquay Harbour we will head inland slightly as we climb up towards the Gleneagles hotel which famously inspired John Cleese to write the Fawlty Towers Sitcom. From here we will head back towards the coast to take in the wonderful views before a brief stop at Meadfoot Beach and then back to the Living Coasts centre.

Difficult to rate as it was our first one. Really enjoyed it, very easy steady pace. However it was hilly but they where all short & sharp. Will look for a more challenging ride next time. Ride leaders Paul,Rob & Simon ( Hope I've got their names correct) all very friendly and welcoming. -
