Greenham Common Evening Social Ride

Breeze Bike Rides in West Berkshire

This is a pleasant and sociable evening ride around Greenham Common. Greenham Common has a network of well-maintained gravel paths along fairly flat terrain, if a little exposed sometimes.

The ride will be mostly in the dark, so lights are a necessity. This will be a new adventure, but its perfectly manageable to cycle round Greenham in the dark - adds a whole new dimension! If anyone is unsure, there'll be a short test ride first to make sure everyone is happy before setting off round the Common.

Helmets and suitable clothing are recommended, especially as it can cool down quite quickly. The gravel paths can lead to punctures so carrying spare inner tubes is also recommended!

  I love cycling, of all types on all bikes and have done since I was little. Whether its on road or off road or both. I used to take my girls bike out onto the local BMX track! I also love exploring and finding new routes, and being on a bike means I get to explore even further. I'd love to share my bike rides with other ladies and encourage more people to get out there on their bikes and see the countryside. We have the best cycling environment in Newbury with Greenham Common on one side, the Ridgeway just to the North and the Kennet and Avon Canal in the middle. Something for everyone, whatever the weather. I hope you can join me.
