Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Stuart Simpson Hi
I am a very easy going person who works for a Housing Association.

I take great interest in photography and you will often find me out and about taking photos.

I chose Sky-ride cycling as my main activity as I am passionate with the well-being of health for people and the planet and volunteer with Sustrans, which promotes cycling and walking. I cycle to work everyday at a distance of 5.5 miles each way.

Olympic Games 2012 , Marshalled road cycling events in July/August.

I ensure that everyone enjoy themselves with great thought to my group's well being on the day.

Looking forward to meeting new participants and always welcome regulars back, I will make sure that everyone has an enjoyable experience. Remember to bring drinks and energy bars for the day.

Glad to see you at the ride!! It's going to be a great year. Make sure you bring your helmet.

  • Dilys Gartside Having been a cycling solicitor for many years, in 2005 I qualified as a National Standard Cycling Instructor and set up CycleWise to work as a freelance instructor and campaigner for cycling.
I teach adults from novice to advanced often under the Council's subsidised Scheme. See my website at www.cyclewisesouthampton.co.uk

I was 2009 CTC Volunteer of the Year for South East England and recognised in 2011 for our campaigning work with Southampton Cycling Campaign. I enjoyed being a cycling extra in Midsomer Murders and had fun bringing BBC's ‘Dom on the Case of Cars’ to Southampton to explore other modes of transport.
