If you’ve been riding a road bike for a while, and perhaps been thinking about joining a cycling club, these rides – brand new for 2012 – are for you. The prospect of a speedy pace over twenty to fifty miles, and the strong likelihood of some hills thrown in along the way, means our Ride Strong Plus rides are not for the faint-hearted.

A fantastic circular route. Though we start in town, within two miles we'll be wheeling through beautiful rolling countryside heading out into the gorgeous Aylesbury Vale. We'll also pass through the lovely villages of Winslow and Swanbourne before heading back to town on this 31 mile ride.  Bring fresh legs as it's going to be a speedy ride!

Additional Information

As these are adult only rides, designed for cyclists progressing from the standard Ride Strong level, the pace of the ride could increase to 15mph at the discretion of the Ride Leader.

Helmets must be worn by all under 18's regardless of ride level.
Please bring equipment with you to repair punctures, Ride Leaders are there to help but are not responsible for your bike.
All rides leave at the time stated you must arrive early Ride Leaders will not wait.

• Ritchie Dixon Hi
  I've been cycling all my life, from paper-rounds as a kid, to charity rides in my late teens (London to Brighton etc), a few cycle tours in Europe in my early 20's, then weekly rides with the Cyclists' Touring Club and Team MK club runs and Time Trials.
  For the last five years I've been a Bikeability instructor, teaching adults and Northants school children. If I can make a journey by bike or car, I choose the bike!
  I've been a Skyride leader since 2011, and take a Social Cycling Group to a cafe, usually on Tuesdays when I'm not working. Let's get cycling!
• Liane Higham Hi, I have been cycling for a few years now and love it, I have completed Sportives in the UK & abroad including Cape Argus, P2P & C2C. I ride a Road Bike & MTB bike and really want to get more people out on their bikes to have some fun, get fitter & feel great. I qualified as a Breeze Champion May '12 and lead regular rides for a great group & have 'newbies out most weeks who own but rarely ride their bikes due to lack of confidence and worries about traffic/fitness etc. Our rides are mainly on cycle paths and country lanes around Northampton & always involve a coffee & cake! I I also really enjoy teaching Bikeability in Northants Schools and am currently looking forward to a touring/camping holiday this year! My next big challenge is LEJOG in 2014!
