Cramond Caper

Sunday 6th October at 2.00pm This is what time the ride will set off. It’s best to get to the starting point at least 15 minutes beforehand to avoid missing the start.

Starting Point & Postcode
Waterfront Broadway, outside Morrisons Granton Granton EH5 1SA
Overall Duration On a long ride, it’s sometimes good to have a little break in the middle, or maybe a catch up at the beginning or end to keep it sociable. This means that the overall ride duration may be longer than the actual cycling time.
1 hours 55 mins  (1 hours 15 mins cycling)
Bike Type You probably don’t want to drag your road bike across bumpy trails. Maybe you want to make the most of the suspension on your mountain bike. This helps you match your ride to your bike.

Sky Ride Local in Edinburgh

If you're happy enough riding a bike but feel a bit rusty, or if you just fancy the chance to ride in a relaxed way with friends and family, then Ride Steady is for you. It's all designed to give you a rewarding cycling experience at a slow to leisurely pace.

Come and join us on a lovely 8.25 mile coastal route. We will ride along the Forth foreshore to Cramond, this includes one short climb from sea level which we will take very steadily. Meet the Ride Leaders

  • Cliff Smith
  • Rosemary Gray I love my bike and cycling. I used to cycle much more when I was younger and fitter but still like to use it regularly where I live even if it's just popping out to the library.
As a family we take our bikes on holiday too and it's great to get out in the countryside and explore somewhere different.
Edinburgh is a great place to cycle - there is a good network of cycle paths and lots of friendly cyclists.
  • Graeme Findlay Hi there, I'm an all weather commuter and keen leisure cyclist. I love seeing people out enjoying their bikes with friends and family and I think there's nothing better than discovering interesting, traffic free bits of Edinburgh.

    See you on the skyride!
